Why Children’s Village?

Meet Our Management Team

I’m Erin Walker. I am a Marine Corps Veteran who transitioned into early childhood education after earning my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2009. I am deeply passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment for both children and staff, and a lasting impact on the community. I find great joy in seeing the progress children make during their time with us and in building meaningful connections with families. Over the years, I have worked at each of our locations in a variety of roles, including lead classroom teacher, ECEAP Teacher, and Education Coordinator, giving me a well-rounded understanding of both classroom practice and program leadership. In December, 2021 I assumed the role of Director, where I continue to support high-quality programming and staff development. I played an active role in the planning and design of our new Battle Ground location and I’m excited to be a part of this community.

Erin Walker

Center Director

I’ve been dedicated to the field of early childhood education since 2004. I studied Early Education and have had the privilege of working in many roles through the years, from teacher to program manager–gaining experience with children of all ages. No matter the age, one thing has always stayed the same: I love watching children grow. I believe deeply in creating environments where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore. As a leader, my goal is to partner with families, communicate openly, and ensure every child receives exceptional care. I want parents to feel confident knowing their child is in a place where learning is nurtured, curiosity is encouraged, and their child’s well-being is the priority. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support your child’s learning. I look forward to building a strong, trusting relationship with you. When I am not at work you may see me on a hiking trail, at home with a DIY project or spending time with my husband and son.

Chassy Lompa

Assistant Director

With over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and management, I’m passionate about creating a fun and safe environment for kids. I graduated from Clark College with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and from Warner Pacific with a BA in Business Administration, and have picked up some great training in early learning curriculum, staff development and program management along the way. At Children’s Village, I’m proud to lead an amazing team that’s all about fostering creativity and building strong foundations for every child’s future. I believe that working closely with families and our community is key to helping kids thrive. I’m also involved with the DCYF to advocate for early childhood education and make a positive impact. When I’m not at work, you can find me at my son’s baseball games, baking, or crafting, which helps me stay energetic and inspired in everything I do for children and families here at Children’s Village.

Tori Garrow-Roberts

Managing Director

I have 28 years of service at Children’s Village. I have a deep commitment to supporting children and families through education, advocacy, and trauma-informed practice. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies, providing me with a strong foundation in understanding the social, emotional, and developmental needs of children. I also earned a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Trauma and Resilience, as well as a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. With over three decades of experience, I bring extensive knowledge, compassion, and leadership to my role. I’m passionate about working with early learning professionals in creating supportive learning environments that foster growth, resilience, and academic success for every child we serve. When I’m not at work, I enjoy travel, the beach, game nights and time with my family.
