School Age

In our safe environment school-aged children have opportunities for fun, socializing and learning. After school, children have the opportunities for snack, arts and crafts, free choice play and homework.

Our convenient hours and transportation to and from school will make it easy for children and parents to get into a routine. We drive or walk children to/from the following schools:

From Burton Road

  • King Elementary
  • Ogden Elementary
  • Walnut Grove Elementary
  • Roosevelt Elementary
  • Marrion Elementary
  • Marshall Elementary

From Salmon Creek

  • Chinook Elementary
  • Pleasant Valley Elementary
  • Salmon Creek Elementary
  • Sarah J Anderson Elementary

Summer Activities

During school breaks, we keep children interested and entertained with dozens of projects and activities. We make summer break even more fun with exciting themes, activities and field trips. Check back in June for a list of Scheduled Field Trips.

Inclement Weather

For the safety of our families and staff, both our Salmon Creek and Burton Road locations follow the Vancouver School District’s decisions on closures and delayed starts for inclement weather. Please check local news sources or Vancouver School District’s website for closure and delayed start information.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT DELAYED STARTS: If Vancouver School District has a 2-hour delayed start, Children’s Village will open at 10:00 am and will not provide morning transportation for school-aged children.

*Please note that if winter weather becomes severe during the day, making it unsafe for our buses to be on the roads, we will cancel transportation services and parents will need to pick up their children at their elementary school.
